The BAIRD Room

This bedroom is named after Hugh Baird who was a Scottish civil engineer who designed and oversaw the building of the Union Canal between 1818 and 1822.
This room is the largest of our bedrooms and can either be set up as a twin room or as a double with a large king-size bed. This room can also have a third bed added, making this a fantastic room for a family! The beautiful en-suite has a bath with a rain shower above it.
The BONNINGTON Room

This is named after the nearby estate and the aqueduct a mile and half southwest of Ratho. The main Bonnington house was built in 1622.
The room has a beautiful mahogany four-poster king-size bed as a centrepiece to the room with a stunning antique chandelier above it. The room is painted in a duck egg blue and has an en-suite shower room adjoining it.
The BRYCE Room

This bedroom is named after the Bridge Inn’s most infamous former resident whose dubious claim to fame is that he was the last man to be publicly hanged in Edinburgh.
His family used to live in what is now The Bridge Inn.
This bedroom has a king-sized brass bed, and a large ensuite shower room.
The BURKE Room
From £100 per night
This room is named after the infamous murderer William Burke. Burke worked as a navvy constructing the Union Canal in the 19th century and it was during this time that he met his partner in crime, William Hare.
The bedroom has a much calmer feeling than the name may suggest, decorated in pale colours with a New England feel to the room. It has a large king size bed and an en-suite shower room.

All our rooms include, complimentary bathroom products from Laura Thomas, Nespresso machines, a beautiful tea selection from The Tea Lovers’ Company, Egyptian cotton bed linen and thick large towels. They also have flat screen freeview televisions & free wi-fi. All our room rates include a lovely breakfast as well.

Dogs – Can stay in Baird or Bonnington at a charge of £25 per dog per stay.
Children – It is possible to accommodate an extra bed in a few of our rooms for children up to 12 years of age for a surcharge of £50 per night bed and breakfast, so please enquire directly if this is a requirement.
